Blind Bottle Night
Bring a wrapped bottle (wine or spirit) with a one-line clue taped to it. The table guesses region or varietal before each reveal. Closest guess wins; the host keeps a scorecard. A gentle, delicious humbling.
What it's for
Strip away the label and let the table find out how much of their taste is actually the story they’ve been told.
The guest's job
Bring one wrapped bottle and write one honest clue on the outside — enough to intrigue, not enough to give it away.
The vote
Closest blind guess wins the round; the host tallies and declares a champion at the end.
The reveal
Unwrap each bottle at its moment — prices and labels land hardest when held back longest.
Food & drink spine
Neutral palate food only: bread, mild cheese, water — let the wine speak for itself.
Conversation fuel
"Were you more surprised by who won or by what you paid for what lost?"
How it flops — steer around it
Clues that are basically the answer. A good clue teases without cheating.
